Spew Off Speak Out...
OK, I'm skeptical of the analysts saying how our 2 teams are the best traveling teams. I think it will be MAJOR green and cheese and not as much black. Course, they have the money...

...Kathleen Hessert also monitors buzz for a company she runs called Buzz Manager Inc. Her proprietary software tool takes the pulse of what people are saying everywhere: on websites, blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and others.

"Green Bay has significantly more buzz than Pittsburgh," Hessert said Sunday. "And more than twice as many tweets than Facebook mentions..."

Good afternoon, This is Barrett from PressBox, a sports media company in Baltimore. I thought you might like to read part one of our Super Bowl preview -- later this week we'll post more about each of the teams. Enjoy the link below and please feel free to share it with anyone else you think might like to read it.

Thanks!

Hey BeerKid - I run Norman Einstein's, an online sports monthly. I'm also a big Packers fan and check in with Packer Palace every now and again. In the latest issue of Norman Einstein's as part of our Super Bowl coverage, I put together a little thought piece on the meaning of this Packers team as they get ready for the Big Game. Check it out:

http://normaneinsteins.com/21/whereyafrom/

If you like it, link it through. Hope the anticipation isn't killing you (I'm alternately terrified and mildly okay). Hope all is well. Keep up the good work! And, most importantly, go Pack!

On a level playing field, the Steelers should be beatable. But I'm a bit concerned that we get refballed. The zebras love them.

Anyway, both us and them have good defenses, but I think we're a bit better at QB. I'm not thinking there's a huge offensive shootout.

Packers 20, Steelers 17.

You know i am really tired of these Steeler fans think Rolloverburger is so great! I know that if you took AR and dropped him in the backfield of any team he would make them better. Old Big Head would loose most of the games! If not for their D in Pittsburg they might never win. Ben was gone for the first 3 games this season and they still went 3-1 with out him. So he really doesn't make the difference. Go Pack GOOOOOO!

Still pinching myself each day wondering how The Pack beat the #1, #2, and # 3 seeded teams, but they did it. THE BEARS STILL SUCK!!!!I would think with this momentum they can take out the Pitt. I DO NOT want to see the Pack sitting on a lead...we need to dial this up. I believe, as in 1996, we have the speed and talent on both sides of the ball to get er done. We just need to bury Roeth-molester. Gog Clay Go!!! It took Reggie a bit to get to bleedsoe in 1996, but once he did he had back to back sacks. So, excited for this game and the next NFC dominance for the next 5 years. I am choosing Leines' Spring Mix for the game. Once the 11 starters are back we will be unstoppable. I cannot wait to be smoking by stoggies once we bring home the Lomardi trophy for the 4th time.

Beer Kid, I'm sure you've seen stories about Paul the Phychic Octopus (may he rest in peace) who correctly picked the last World Cup winner. But maybe you haven't heard of Bernie the Buck who has accurately predicted the last six Super Bowl winners. So, who does Bernie think will take home the Lombardi trophy next week? I think you know.

Glad they picked Palmolive... they just stoked the fire in Clay's belly with a few BIG LOGS FOR SUNDAY'S FIRESTORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is interesting to see the Packers hinting how they felt about Favre towards the end of his Packer career. A-Rod and the organization kept their mouth shut and showed class knowing the truth would rear its ugly head sooner or later. I am sure many of the young players didnt like the way Favre didnt help their future qb.

Oh man, I getting psyched for this game. Been pacing the floor nonstop, and watching NFL Network 24/7. My flight to Dallas isn't until Saturday - wish I had booked an earlier departure. My wife says she wishes I was gone too. Scored a $900 face value ticket from some friends in Shitzburgh. On the downside I have to sit with those stillers fans. Told 'em I'd bring plenty of Kleenex - they're going to need it.

Good luck getting people behind this one. Though you make some VERY fascinating points, youre going to have to do more than bring up a few things that may be different than what weve already heard. What are trying to say here? What do you want us to think? It seems like you cant really get behind a unique thought. Anyway, thats just my opinion.

Green Bay's Going To The Super Bowl...

Presagin' Packer Prognosticators...

Q:  Will the Packers Win Their 13th NFL Championship Today in Dallas Over The Steelers in Super Bowl XLV?

A:  It Is Decidedly So.

Magic Gold G-Ball

Green Bay's Going To The Super Bowl.... yeah baby!!! Go Pack Go! All the Packers hard work during the season has paid off, all the major injuries to starting players has been overcome, and today, Super Bowl Sunday, that's going to mean only one thing.

It means that we find our favorite team, the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Just like some of the previous games this year where the Packers and their opponent sort of matched up pretty evenly across the board through all phases of the game, 'cept today it's the Super Bowl, and the Pack have the one main advantage where it's going to count most. The Scoreboard. Packers get a FG late in the 4th, and eventually hold on to win 24-17. Go Pack Go!

Green Bay Packers Super Bowl XLV Champions!

Go Pack Go!!!! Introducing your Green Bay Packers as Super Bowl XLV Champions!!!

The Pack put a bit of beat-down on the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading through out most of the game, and even when the Pack was up by 2 scores, a little bit of uneasiness kept lingering in the background of all the the partying, but in the end it was all Packers being crowned as Super Bowl Champions!

Scoreboard!!! Packers 31 Steelers 25. Green Bay now has a NFL leading 13 Championships. Nobody's done that better.... Go Pack Go!

Thanks to Shane and Kelly for hosting today's festivities... and thanks to Stone Brewery for their IPA and superb Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale for putting big smiles on our faces all game long.

For pack daddy k.......James Jones is killing me.

Also for pack daddy k (oh, and mm-tt) I'm always the first to admit when I'm wrong.....Ted, you are a genius at picking up players that plug into the system, you are my hero and I'm ordering a Ted Thompson t- shirt......Mike, you are taking the play calling right at the opposing teams lately and no longer trying to sit on a lead, god bless you and I will make a concerted effort to not second guess why you do what you do, I'm ordering the Mike McCarthy car flag.......I thought this would be the year for James to step up, and he has, dropped pass was reminiscent of the eagles game, tough pass to catch for Nelson in the end zone (but I've seen that catch made before). both have made some extraordinary catches this season and now it's expected.

the final score did not show the true dominance of The Pack. That being said.....I LOVE THE PACKERS!!!!!!! I'm proud of the guys for pulling through all the injuries this year and not using it as an excuse.

I grew up in a Packers loving family starting with my grandparents, I've lived through the Hadl and Wright years(miserable) I've had hope with Majkowski and Dickey.....I've never met a football fan (or any sport) that didn't complain at times.....so lighten up francis, telling other Packer fans to suck your dick is a little extreme.....you obviously love the Packers, but so does everybody else here(excluding gurt rude) the lonely little bear cub.

REPEAT........GO PACK GO!!!!!!!

I have not visited this site in 6 weeks. Everyday, I would scan my favorite sites and my mouse would stop at Packer Palace. I could never bring myself to click on that link. You might ask why a loyal Packer fan would put forth so much effort to avoid such a beloved website. To whomever is reading this.... It's because of you. Everyday I would read the relentless rants about MY team... After every loss (and even after some victories) the notorious Packer Palace HATERS summoned their rage through their fingertips and upon their keyboards to bring their misery to this website.

Every week I would read of just how terrible my team was: "Special teams is terrible, our defense blows, etc, etc". But the comments that struck the worst chord were those about Coach MM and Ted T. I'm talking EVERY WEEK someone would be on here demanding the heads of MM and TT be placed on the same post outside of Lambeau Field. I tried to stay opptimistic, I knew my Packers were better than that. I knew that through hard work and efficient team building we would not only succeed; we would dominate (even if we did lose a number of the teams superstars).

So for Coach McCarthy and Mr. Thompson... I take great pleasure in saying to you...."SUCK MY DICK!!!" As I and the true Packer fans out there celebrate an incredible year... I wish those of you who doubted us have good fortune in finding a better managed team and a superior coaching staff than those in Green Bay.

SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!!! GO PACK GO!!!!

Pack Daddy K

Hey Pack Daddy... hahahah you are funny, are you really stating as fact that 6 weeks ago coming off 3 losses in 4 weeks that the Packers were going to roll through the Super Bowl and that you knew it. Knew it as fact. Knew it as fact that the Packers were somehow playing flawless football in those 3 losses that dropped them to 8-6 and in must-win situations week after week after week to become World Champions. You had no concerns about the Packers play. Besides, it's a damn 1st amendment right to bitch about whatever a fan perceives are flaws in his team. It's called constructive criticism, but none the less, I genuflect in your general direction for carrying the Packers through their Super Bowl win with your absolute positivism. Obviously no one here can match you.... Go Pack Go. Winning cures all misery.   BK

Just speechless last night when the Pack put the beatdown on the Steelers. With all the injuries the Pack was still able to get it done. Three takeaways on the Pitt who did not do this all year. Rodger's more then deserves the MVP for all he had to deal with and always being STELLAR and taking the high road. He had a perfect game and with a few more catches this game could have been a bigger beat down.

It is soooo silent up here in MN, but the most perfect outcome to help put an exclamation point on that BF worst nightmare year. Lombardi Trophy is coming home for the 4th time, but 13 overall championships!!!! Go Pack Go!!!!

I cant believe it, this is awesome!! I am so proud of the team and the effort they gave throughout the year. To play with all the injuries this year and their backs against the wall for last quarter of the season is amazing and shows what kind of team the Packers truely are. Big players arrive in big games... Matthews causing a fumble while the Steelers are driving is just what a NFL Defensive player of the year would do. Matthews was robbed of the award!! Poopamolu played like an average player not like a defensive mvp!! And Rogers was awesome and is only going to get better.

I think this is the beginning of a dynasty. GO PACK GO !!!! PROUD TO BE A PACKER FAN!!!!!!

I am still on a high. Everywhere I go people see the G and give congrats. It is so sweet being the world champs. Congrats to all the major players. I am loving every minute of it.

Now I have some paperwork to clear up...

Dear TT and MM,

I was wrong. I apologize to you for my transgressions. I love the Green Bay Packers and I was a very outspoken about your decisions. Thank you for getting rid of Brent Favre. Thank you for sticking with the players you had. Thank you for this season.

MM you took the advice of someone and came out of your shell instead of pulling into it after you had a lead (although I was a bit scared in the third quarter). No more coach turtle for you. You did a hell of a job. I am proud of you. Your play calling got better every week in the playoffs and most importantly on SB Sunday. Thank you for bringing the trophy home.

TT, I am the one who asked to name a team that won the SB that had not picked up a key FA in the off season or during the season. Yeah that was me. Well, we all know the answer to that question now. TT and the 2010-11 Green Bay Packers. Thank you for that. However, I am not sure if you were drunk out of your mind when they gave you the Lombardi trophy or just speechless. Either way, you got the trophy. Thank you. Oh, I still think you should drop that dog Justin Harrell. Please.

Again, I was wrong, I apologize.

Oh, Pack Daddy K. I sure wish I could be a follower like you and never question anything no matter how stupid it is. NO I take that back, I do not want to EVER be like that. If I see something that needs to be questioned I will question it. EVERY TIME. But, when I am wrong, I will also admit it. And NO, I will not suck your dick. I like women. You live your self righteous life however you want.

GO PACK GO. REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT.

I am still flying high over our latest NFL Championship. I can't get enough Packer coverage on the boob tube and online. My work and family live are suffering because of it, but oh well!

THE PACKERS ARE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!

I don't care that they were a six seed and were lucky to even get in the playoffs. It took until week frickin 15 for something to go the Packers way (thank you Eagles and Lions). And once it did it was all over for the rest of the NFL.

"Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit."

I have not seen much about the job the Offensive Line did in the Super Bowl. Going into the game I wondered how we would be able to contain that line. I feared we would have a tough time dealing with that line across the board, but we really shut them down. Cliffy and Bulaga really shutdown the top pair of OLB's in the game. Sitton, Wells and dare I say it Colledge played their butts off and stymied the big boys inside. They didn't open much in the run game, but that was not their job Sunday. They needed to give Rodgers a little time and keep him upright and they succeeded. I just wanted to give it up to our big guys because they were awesome and get little credit. If anyone has seen an article online about them please let me know. I haven't seen much.

Lucky in Dodgeville

Hey Lucky, here's a paragraph blurb giving the Packers O-Line an "A" by Andrew Perloff with his Super Bowl Grades: Rodgers earns A in Super victory - otherwise all articles about the o-line seem to be pre-game information.   BK

Good to see Packer players having fun on the talk show circuit, basking in the glory of a hard fought victory. I do feel it is worth noting that Pickett was pivotal in creating what was to be the game winning fumble, and Matthews joined him in cleaning up on the action. My choice in male hygiene products will not change, but Pickett will always be an unsung hero of Super Bowl XLV in my eyes.

Wow. This is all so crazy. I got done being hungover Tuesday and finally, today (Thursday)I'm caught back up on my sleep. There are a few words I'd like to say here at Packer Palace to wrap up the season.

Beer Kid and Beer Scout, thanks for another great season on an awesome Packers site. The Videos were even better this year. Awesome.

To those who bitch about the "haters" on this site, I offer a metaphor: Don't go into a wooden-floored bar next door to a factory and get pissed when they don't serve your favorite Chardonnay.

I'd like to apologize to my liver for this year's playoff run. We've been through a lot together over the years. We had a great month, and I know we'll remain close.

I need to thank the neighbors on my street here in Elk River, MN, for not calling the cops, too. I'm still shocked I was the only guy in the neighborhood running around the driveway screaming and making snow angels on my lawn in a t-shirt. Sorry about the firecrackers, too. It was only 400, and I did leave some un-lit.

Get used to the thought, and repeat it often: "The Reigning, and 13-time World Champion Green Bay Packers."

I'm very proud of the team. They had to overcome a lot of adversity to get to the top. Multiple injuries, two A-Rod concussions, bad losses against the Dolphins, Lions, Redskins, and Bears, a season that almost ended in December at 8-8, no home field advantage in the playoffs, etc. I think it was just sheer willpower that got them through it all.

BTW, my fears of refball in the SB proved unfounded. Steelers aren't so tough without the zebras helping them, are they?

The Reason Why...

The Chicago Bears' head coach, Lovie Smith, clearly upset about duh Bears' recent losses to the Green Bay Packers, decides to find out from Mike McCarthy what his secret is. So Lovie travels up to a Packers practice and asks McCarthy, "Coach, how is it that your team is so good? What's your secret?"

Coach McCarthy responds by calling Aaron Rodgers over. "A-Rod, who's your father's brother's nephew?" Rodgers answers, "Why, Coach, that's easy. It's me."

McCarthy turns to Lovie and says, "That's the secret. A smart quarterback. You've got to have a smart quarterback."

Thinking he's finally got all the tools he needs, Lovie returns to Chicago and the Bears' practice. He promptly calls over Jay Cutler. "Cutler! Who's your father's brother's nephew?" Jay looks perplexed, thinks a minute and says, "Coach, can I get back to you after practice on that one?"

Smith says, "OK."

During practice, Cutler calls over Devin Hester. "Devin, coach just asked me the weirdest question. Who's your father's brother's nephew?" Hester replies, "Duh! That's easy! It's me!"

After practice, Cutler catches up with Lovie. "Coach! I think I've got it. My father's brother's nephew is Devin Hester!"

Lovie yells, "No, no, NO, you idiot! It's Aaron Rodgers!"

And that's one of the reason's why the Bears Still Suck!

Thirsty For A Draft...
Well one of the worst things that could happen, happened. Green Bay by virtue of winning Super Bowl XLV are now slotted to draft last in every single round of the upcoming NFL Draft. Not having any draft picks in the first 2 rounds would be the worst, but there's no reason to bring up duh Bears 2010 draft. Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers! I know it's only been a few weeks but I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing that phrase.

So with NFL Owners taking on the NFL Players in the current lack of agreement over the Collective Bargaining Agreement means only one thing for sure this off-season. We football fans will at least get 3 days of the NFL Draft starting April 28th, and that means it is time for me to glance over the more interesting Mock Draft's (those would be the one's that offer explanations for players selected) and relay that information back out to any who might find interest in whom the Green Bay Packers may choose.

Right now, the Packers have a total of 7 picks, 1 for each of the 7 rounds - R1-32nd, R2-64th, R3-96th, R4-128th, R5-160th, R6-192nd, and R7-222nd**. Also, there's a very good chance that the Pack will receive an extra Compensation Selection in the 3rd/4th Round for the free-agent departure of DE Aaron Kampman last year. With 8 picks, that should make GM Ted Thompson absolutely positively giddy with the near un-ending possiblilities that should bring to his draft day war-room table.

Update:   Oh-oh, I didn't realize without the CBA any draft day deals are severely restricted to draft picks only - no players can be traded, so with a Packers team now heavy on starting talent from several backup players this will restrict Ted Thompson's maneuverability to unload a few of them for some kind of maximum value.

BeerKid - Always Pack 4 Life!

** Both the Dallas Cowboys and duh Chicago Bears excercised their 7th round picks in last year's 2010 NFL Supplemental Draft **

32.  Mike Pouncey, G, Florida - The offensive line is the Packers biggest need at this point. They need to find a long term tackle opposite Bryan Bulaga, and they need to get a guard to replace Darryn Colledge. Pouncey is the best offensive guard available, and he is a good fit for Green Bay. An offensive tackle or even an outside linebacker could be an option here as well.

64.  Mark Herzlich, OLB, Boston College

96.  Vincent Brown, WR, San Diego St.

128.  Terrell McClain, DE/DT, South Florida

160.  Derek Newton, G/T, Arkansas St.

32.  Justin Houston, OLB, Georgia - Houston. has a nasty combination of size and speed that looks to pinpoint him towards a 3-4 OLB in the Pros. Houston finished with 11 sacks this season, mostly due to an explosive first step and excellent timing on the snap. Houston is a workout warrior and a humble, hard-working leader. A great choice for the "other" OLB spot on the Packers.

64.  Chris Hairston, OT, Clemson - Hairston had 29 knockdowns in 2010 and allowed only one sack in 2010. Hairston is liked by scouts for his solid all-around game. Not spectacular at anything, but the size is there, he has good feet, and is an excellent run blocker when he can square up. Struggles in open space and may not be a great fit for the ZBS, but he's probably the best available OT at this spot. Hairston had 29 knockdowns in 2010 and allowed only one sack.

32.  Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado - The Pack surprised some people by reaching the Super Bowl. They may be looking for more front seven help, but landing a talented corner would make them just as happy.

32.  Muhammad Wilkerson, DE, Temple - The possible departure of free agent Cullen Jenkins would give the Packers a need at defensive end, and Wilkerson is apparently a good fit for the 3-4. Of course, the Packers are also getting back 2010 second-round pick Mike Neal, who was injured for most of last season.

32.  Tyron Smith, OT, USC - Offensive tackle for the 2nd year in a row for the Packers. Mark Tauscher’s career is in serious jeopardy and Chad Clifton turns 35 in June. He’s probably going to call it quits when the 2 years left on his deal are up. He’s also injury prone. I’m not sold as TJ Lang as a tackle of the future so they need someone to pair with Bryan Bulaga. Smith fits the scheme and has time to bulk up in the next year or two before he becomes a full time starter. Smith has more upside than any tackle in this class, but he could weigh in under 300 at The Combine. This is a classic Packers BPA pick.

64.  Jarvis Jenkins, DE, Clemson - Cullen Jenkins is a free agent and Johnny Jolly is coming off a season long suspension which might not be lifted before week 1. Jenkins fits their BPA strategy after a strong Senior Bowl.

96.  Jabaal Sheard, OLB, Pittsburgh - Even more impressive about Clay Matthews’ season is that he did it without someone opposite him to take the pressure off of him. They need to find a LaMarr Woodley to Matthews’ James Harrison.

32.  Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois - I guess I’m in the minority here. I’m hearing a lot of experts say that the Packers will be fine with the return of Ryan Grant and the emergence of James Starks, but I don’t see it that way. Head coach Mike McCarthy’s offense relies heavily on the play action pass. Obviously the team was able to overcome the lack of a threat on the ground this past season, but imagine how lethal the offense would be if it had a real running back.

64.  Brooks Reed, OLB, Arizona - Brooks Reed can rush the passer and capped off a stellar collegiate career with a strong performance at the Senior Bowl. This would be an excellent pick for Green Bay.

32.  Ryan Williams, RB, Virginia Tech - Williams is a strong runner at 5-10, 206 pounds, although, he could use some more weight given his style of attacking the line of scrimmage. Aside from adding weight, he appears to have the makings of an every-down back. Some Positions Of Need: DE, DT, OLB

32.  Christian Ballard, DT/DE, Iowa - Ryan Pickett and Cullen Jenkins are both over 30 years old and have battled injuries. Ballard is a rising prospect that would be a good fit as a 5 technique.

32.  Tyron Smith, OT, USC - Chad Clifton turns 35 this summer, and while he has said he isn't considering retirement, the Packers would be wise to select Tyron Smith if he's still on the board at this spot. Opinions vary on Smith, with some believing he could be the first offensive lineman drafted, or at least one of the first few to go. At this point I don't see that happening, but in a tightly bunched field there is a chance that Smith could end up being a mid-first round pick. He played right tackle at USC, though it's anticipated that he'll play at the all-important left tackle spot in the NFL.

__________________________________________

32.  Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State - Returning 15 players (six opening-day starters) from injured reserve, the loaded Packers can use the 32nd overall pick on the best player available. Heyward is an ideal 3-4 end at 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds with long arms and a powerful bull rush.

Evan Silva - Profootball Talk

__________________________________________

32.  Anthony Castonzo, OT, Boston College - The Packers are a tough team to do mock draft for. They have very few needs, and the best players available don't necessarily satisfy those needs. The one exception could be Anthony Castonzo. Yes, Green Bay drafted an offensive tackle a year ago, but the team needs a successor for Chad Clifton. Plus, Castonzo fits the blocking scheme and appearance that the Packers look for in their offensive linemen.

64.  Danny Watkins, G, Baylor - I really like Danny Watkins. He's a talented guard who can start right away for the team that drafts him. The problem is that he's 27 years old, but that won't matter much to the Packers, who are ready to win now rather than later.

96.  Kendall Hunter, RB, Oklahoma State - Ryan Grant is entering his contract year. James Starks looks great right now, but has a long injury history. Brandon Jackson is a free agent. The Packers should find some running back help in the middle rounds of the 2011 NFL Draft, and Kendall Hunter is one of the top players available.

128.  Thomas Keiser, DE/OLB, Stanford - Frank Zombo had an important sack in the Super Bowl, but the Packers still need an upgrade across from Clay Matthews.

160.  Cecil Shorts, WR, Mount Union - Donald Driver will retire soon, while James Jones is a free agent. If the Packers don't re-sign Jones, they'll almost certainly be looking for receiving depth in the middle rounds of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Walter Football.Com

32.  Brandon Harris, CB, Miami (Fl) - Harris looks to have a first round grade after leaving the U one season early. Charles Woodson is still getting it done, but will be entering his 14th season and Harris would upgrade corner depth for now.

64.  Christian Ballard, DE, Iowa - After taking a corner, adding offensive line depth or speed runner make the most sense when it comes to immediate need. Ballard's potential in the Packers' 3-4 scheme is too intriguing to pass on.

Ben Standig - FFToolbox

__________________________________________

32.  Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama - I am not sure about this pick as Ryan Grant will be back next year and now that James Starks looked goo in the first playoff game. However, in getting Mark Ingram this late in the 2011 NFL Draft they are getting a steal. I have him taking my top rated 2011 NFL Mock Draft RB in this draft.

64.  Jurell Casey, DT, USC I had Casey as a first rounder for a while but his stock has falling because so many other DT’s stock have risen. He still can play his way into the first round he is just on the bottom half of top 2011 NFL Draft DT’s.

96.  Tyler Sash, SS, Iowa

Well Beerscout, thanks for reviving your original comment from PFT, although I warned you that they ban alot of things I comment on, and you did sort of go out-of-your-way to brand the some NFL players as 5-hour energy drink Pushers to little kids but are hypocrites about some plant that grows out of the ground for adults...

Hey Chris... nice job!!! So you were born on the same day as the Ice Bowl win over the Cowboys... and I was born during a Green Bay Packers win over the Colts on an October Sunday in '61 -- Deep down to the bone, it's all Green and Gold.   BK

I am not done screwing with the Viqueen and Bears fans here at work. And I want all the Packer fans to be able to use this one as well. I am giving their fans a good proposition bet. Everyone knows that it's really hard to repeat as Superbowl Champions, everyone brings their A game against the defending Champs. So you bet them that if the Packers repeat as Superbowl Champs that they have to buy you a Packers Superbowl Championship T-shirt but if the Vikings or Bears win a Superbowl in the next 10 years that you'll buy them a T-shirt.

So far they don't want to take the bet.

Very cool articles guys! In the “Packers Still On Top of The Hill” article, isn’t that an eerily familiar quote from Lombardi? “It was typical of the way we’ve played all year”, said Lombardi. “We got a 13-or 14 point lead and then we go on vacation.”

Hey Boz, yeah BeerScout and I saw so, so many cross-similarities between then and now that there was no way we could not make those 1968 Super Bowl articles from our hometown newspaper available... Super Bowl XLV Champions Green Bay Packers!!!   BK

The Packers victory over the Squeelers in the Super Bowl was pretty much priceless, and their run through the playoffs was nothing short of epic. There's only one thing that I have figured out to do to add to the experience:):) We have a Bears fan here at work who wouldn't even bet on the Bears in the NFC Championship game with me, shows what a fan he is. He called me just before the Super Bowl and wanted to bet on the Steelers, so I gladly took his money.

I of course went out and bought my Green Bay Packers Super Bowl Championship T-shirt. So I went into Ebay and found a 25 year old Bears Super Bowl Championship T-shirt, a little faded (sort of like the Bears) but heck I only paid $5 for it:) At our next staff meeting here at work I am going to give him the Bears T-shirt, along with a little card that I made up just for him...it says...
    Ode to a Bears Fan

I know you wanted one of these new
And I know how much it would have meant to you
But this was the best that I could do....

    (you then open the card)

    Because.......

    (Bears symbol here)

    The Bears Still Suck!!!!
And I would have done the same thing for the Viking's fan here at work too, but Viking Super Bowl Championship T-shirts only exist in the minds and dreams of Viking fans!!!! Go Packers!!
