Update: Vikings Stadium Design...

Update
:   Vikings Stadium Design

As the battle continues for which Minnesota county will be over-taxed and will allow the flushing away of the hard-earned dollars from their constituents for the spanking new stadium the home-team Vikings will be housed in, a new design has moved to the fore-front and grabbed the attention of the team's owners.

"It has all the popular comforts that football fans expect from their tax-supported stadium" said one anonymous Vikings owner. "In bad weather, it has the classic retractable roof which will allow our fans to keep their shoes dry while participating in the usual half-time activities at our over-priced concession stands and restrooms. It's the classic win-win for everyone involved."

We here at Packer Palace concur, and believe this should be the winning outhouse design that will bring the Vikings into the 21st century. Special thanks to Packer Paul for sending in this leaked image. Ha!

...chica...awesome article! Thanks for the great read!

BK, a first for the Packer Club of Hemet, we are 'parked on the tarmac' that is Big Cheese Pizza Co. (our clubhouse) because the infinite wisdom of the insane Chargers mgmt decided that anyone purchasing tix from the box office (we have to because we need over 50 tix) would have to purchase TWO GAMES! Ours and the Raiders! What the heck?! We've never had to do this before, and now, we are stuck at our home base to watch our beloved Pack destroy the Chargeless. It sucks...in years past, when we would go to the stadium, we'd meet so many lovely Wisconsinites that would come out to get away from the cold weather, watch their Packers, and contriubute to our local economy.

I don't see that happening as much this year, but then again, they're buying individual tix, so perhaps they got lucky on StubHub or Ebay. One thing for sure, the Packer Club of Hemet is grounded for this trip...totally sucks considering we don't get the opportunity very often to see our Packers up close and personal. the last time we saw them is 2 yrs ago when we all drove to Phoenix for the last game of the season. I have better luck seeing them in ATL when visiting family, or flying into MN. This is leaving a very bitter taste on my palette, despite this lovely Cabernet I'm sipping on right now.

Anyway, despite all this, it will be great to see our Pack whup all over the Chargers this weekend! If I recall, the last 3 meetings at SD have resulted in wins, right BK?

GO PACK GO!

Hey Jonny C, my guess would be that the belts resemble the WWE too much... I don't think that the championship belts are air-brushed out, just skipped over...

Presagin' Packer Prognosticators...

Q:  Are the Packers about to go to 8-0 by winning down in San Diego against the Chargers this week?
A:  Signs Point To Yes.

Q:  Does it help-out the Pack that BeerScout will be in attendance?
A:  Yes!

Magic Gold G-Ball

According to my deeply researched analysis, the Packers coming off the bye week should be healthy and ready to roll. That's a plus for the Pack. The Chargers are coming off a shortened week with their last game being the devastating loss where QB Phil Rivers fumbled the game away in the closing minutes. That's a minus for the Bolts. The Packers with QB Aaron Rodgers can be overwhelming, another plus. The Chargers are looking to save their season, but they appear to me be underwhelming, so let's mark that as a minus.

Simply put, the Packers are going to out-pass, out-rush, out-special-team the Chargers and come out of San Diego with a 27-17 win. I'll use one of my favorite lines, the Bolts will score last to make the game look interesting. Go Pack Go Make It 8-0!!!

Spew Off Spew Out...

Packers Beat The Bolts 45-38 - Go To 8-0!

In a game that was more a home game then a game on the road, the Packers walked away to 45-21 lead early in the 4th quarter and then allowed the Chargers to get back in it with 2 consecutive TD's, then finally stopped the Chargers cold when S Charlie Peprah grabbed an errant Phil Rivers pass to seal the game. Pack win, improve to 8-0.

Obvious highlights of the game were the 2 back-to-back INT's returned for TD's. First it was Charlie Peprah's 40 yard return, and then 5 plays later, CB Tramon Williams stepped in and returned his 43 yards. The 21-7 score allowd the Packers to start coasting, and even with QB Aaron Rodgers playing another incredibly efficient game, but the Chargers had a chance to tie the game towards the end.

Is the Packers defense playing that bad, giving up all those yards, my point would be when your up by 2 scores or more, and when you deploy the "bend don't break" defense, opposing offenses are going to be able to press and rack up some yards and some easy scores. Consider me only mildy concerned with what's going on. Big thing, Packers still undefeated and that's all that counts.

BeerKid - 6 Pack 4 Life!

This was one team I thought we had a chance of losing to, but we pulled it off anyway. Some of my observations/remarks:

Firstly, sslayer is correct in pointing out that our defense is well...terrible. So far it hasn't been a problem because we've just been able to win by outscoring everyone (and by not having a particularly challenging schedule). We can easily lock up the #1 seed before the season is out, but it might come back to haunt us because you don't go anywhere in January if you're giving up 30+ points every game like we are. It's like 2007. 13-3, but not enough D to take us all the way. Guess we'll have to see when the time comes.

Regarding Sunday's game, yeah, the Chargers are a laughingstock. They wasted the career of a HoFer running back, they haven't won anything since 1963, their only SB appearance was a humiliating rout, their fans are ridiculously fairweather, etc. Maybe they don't go to games because Qualcomm is an antiquated 45-year old dump with lousy turf (notice how muddy everyone's jerseys got?). In any case, we sure took over that place. Cheese hats everywhere. Their fans were literally giving their tickets away to us.
Sad, huh?

Packers are geniuses with their Gumby like bend don't break defense. I used to have a computer team like that in front page sports football game, my offense was so good that I took a lot of chances with all or nothing plays on defense. My team also had florescent pink uniforms. *swigs smithwicks*

Beerkid, I think you are exactly right and the Packers defense almost took the stance of "we will give you a few yards, but in the process you are going to chew up the clock and use your time outs". What defensive problems we have will be fixed.

And again on Sunday Aarron proved the 12 is 4X3.

8 and 0 at the halfway point of the season can't beat that for wins and losses but I'm very concerned about three areas of the 2011 Packers team. This is not to say anything negative about the our green and gold grid iron champs, it's just some honest observations of the first 8 games that were ALL wins with flaws in one area or more in each game that continue to happen. I'm not alone in my concerns as voiced by some of the Packer players on the defensive side of the ball.

So my first concern is the Defense of our 8 and 0 Packers. Every week I think that the Packer Defense is going to start improving in limiting the passing game of the next opponent but improvements haven't come.

The first area that stands out is the lack of an inside pass rush. Cullen Jenkins' absence is truly showing at this point. Perhaps Mike Neal will help with improving the inside pass rush but at this point his two year career has been nothing but injury marred leading me to see him as a player with potential never reached due to injuries. The Packers certainly appear to have counted on Neal's presence in 2011. Finding a player to rush opposite of Clay Matthews would help too but no one has risen to the task.

The Secondary play at times has been just plain undisciplined and lacking in fundamentals to play the position. It appears that too many DBs are freelancing looking to make a big play and are being exploited each week by double moves as each opponent have seen the tendencies of the DBs. Yeah there were two interceptions returned for touchdowns yesterday. That accomplishment has happened only 10 TIMES in the entire Packer history. So don't think the trend of returning interceptions for touchdowns is a reasonable weekly goal. It's time to man up and DO YOUR JOB, STAY WITHIN YOUR ASSIGNMENT. Turnovers will come when you stay within your assignments. Case in point is Charlie Peprah who had two interceptions yesterday playing deep safety.

I'm not alone in my evaluation of the Defense the players made these comments after the game:
Charles Woodson said: "A lot of bad football," "I don't know what it was. Just chalk it up to bad football."

Tramon Williams - When told of Woodson's "bad football" assessment, Williams said: "I feel the same way. We gave up too many big plays, obviously, again. We made the plays to win the game, but it's hard to keep coming in here week after week, and guys are putting up yards on you. We've always been a turnover team, and it helps us out. But for guys to consistently put up yards on us like that, we've got to go soul searching and get it together. Whether it's players or coaches, we've got to get together and do this. We're 8-0, but we're fortunate to be that."

Clay Matthews said: "I don't think we win this game without those plays," linebacker Clay Matthews said. "Fortunately, we were able to make some big plays. Not to take anything away from this victory or the performance we had at the end of this game, but we also gave up too many. That seems to be a constant that we need to address."
Let me just say this about the Packers 2011 Defense and that is when they have absolutely needed to stop the other team they have this year. The Defense has had a lead in the fourth quarter in every game this year. As the season progresses the law of averages will be working against being able to stop an opponent who has been moving the ball at will all game long and to think "we'll stop 'em this drive" is unreasonable.

The Rushing Offense is undefined after eight games. It';s time to say that James Starks is the main ball carrier and Ryan Grant will take a few carries a game. Starks isn't perfect but he just gets better with every carry in the game. Ryan Grant is getting paid and certainly knows his best chance to another championship ring is in Green Bay in any role on this Packers team.

The Offensive Line run blocking has been just that OFFENSIVE! Sure there are new or young players out there but we're eight games into the season and there has truly only been one four minute offense that was reasonably good this year. There are very few teams with better players as a whole on any team's offensive line. Our linemen need to play better! You've got to wonder about the new collective bargaining agreement that defines the number of padded practices allowed for the season down to how many per week and in some cases down to which weeks can be padded practices. It appears the Packers, who had two padded practices last week to work off the rust and practice the running game, didn't improve their Offensive line play against an opponent that is generally thought of as mediocre against defending the run. Two of the last three times the Packers had the ball ended in punts after not being able to run for a first down. With so many options available in the passing game it appears that getting the sufficient number of repetitions for the receivers to implement the game plan is actually hurting the running game. More practice time has to be given to the running game if there is going to be a noticeable improvement this season. It has become obvious that the Packers are a pass first team and rightly so having Aaron Rodgers at quarterback with five outstanding wide receives and one great receiving tight end maybe one or two tight ends with pass catching abilities that are above average. But take notice to what happened to New England again this season. The teams with good defensive game plans have shutdown teams that are pass first offenses. With four of the next eight games coming against the Giants, 2(Lions) and Bears remaining the Packers need to improve at running the ball.

The Special Teams play still needs improvement in the coverage on punts and kick-offs and let's hope we don't see Jordy Nelson fielding an on-side kick this season, ugly ugly ugly!!!!!! The tackling on the coverage teams is just plain inadequate, way too many missed tackles and poor tackling angles. Yes maybe the hang time or direction of the kick comes into play here but to win a championship the coverage teams need to improve on opponent starting field position.

Like I started off saying the Packers are 8 and 0 with 5 wins coming on the road that's an impressive record in the NFL. The Packer players say that they're excited to be 8-0 because as a Team they have yet to play their best football. The weather will be getting colder as the season moves forward. Sustained drives running the football are going to be required to continue winning and taking some pressure off A-ROD. Stopping opposing offenses regularly during the game needs to start happening. After all when the defense stops the other team the Packer offense gets its chance to dazzle the fans and score some points. Last to quote Vince Lombardi "Everybody just grabbing out there". Wrap up and tackle. PLEASE!!!!!!!

Keg Man is now ducking she who Keg Man must obey, as her royal Chargerness is unhappy. Although she does think the Pack was classy for just taking a knee at the end instead of trying to score again. I'm letting it slide.

Okay Motor City Bob your Lions look the part of a NFL team this season, SO FAR!!! The last time I checked though the NFC North standings the Lions had lost twice in 2011 making them number 2 and we ALL know what number 2 is!

The Bears looked pretty good Monday Night you should be worried about the GlassBack QB the Lions have had on IR the past two seasons making through the Bear game this Sunday.

As for Aaron Rodgers or any other player needing a strecher to be hauled off the field with their career ended grow up! The NFL is not a cage match on pay for view. Any player with skills at ANY position adds to the entertainment of the game and hoping for one NFL star player to get injured is in very poor taste.

If your Lions can't the Packers with Aaron Rodgers at QB for 4 quarters then the Lions aren't the better team, just as their win/loss record shows now. We'll see who's in first place in the NFC North on January 2nd after 16 games!

Twin City Packman: Fuzzy's63 is a MUST during a visit to Titletown. It's been a few years since I have been there, so I'm not sure if they're still doing this, but on Saturday nights (maybe w/this game on MNF it will be on Sunday night?) they have a GBP "pep rally" in the place.

The last time I was there for that a few years ago, Jerry Kramer, Willie Davis, and Fuzzy were all in the house, and they did karaoke together [Sinatra's "My Way"]. I've also been in there the morning after a game, and Fuzzy was sitting at the bar, with his GBP jacket on, and a an illuminated "G" cap. I got my picture taken with him, and even got to kiss him on the cheek. He's a sweetheart. Don't know how much time he spends there nowadays - his daughter runs the joint. But just go. The photos and memorabilia that cover the walls in that place makes it a treasure-trove of all things GBP. It is one-of-a-kind.

Enjoy your time in Titletown! It will go by fast!

Two off the beaten path spots... Lambeau's grave and Lombardi's house on Sunset Circle. Google 'em.

Hawg Hanner

On behalf of Twin City Packman, thanks Hawg Hammer - I did google'em (hat-tip to Packers Game Day.Com)
CURLEY LAMBEAU'S GRAVE - On Highway 57 at the Allouez Catholic Cemetary. Located more or less in the southeast corner of the property. The grave itself has a SMALL, modest marker. There is a larger, upright stone that merely says "LAMBEAU" which can help you in locating the family section. From the main maintenance building, go east and stay even (well, a little north, but almost even) with the north side of the structure. (hat-tip to Packers Game Day.Com)

VINCE LOMBARDI'S HOME - Drive along Sunset Circle and it'll be the red brick ranch home with the green and gold fire hydrant. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood and you'll feel like you're invading the place, but a man once drove in from Utah and asked if he could just step inside for a moment. The owners invited the stranger in for dinner. A group of students drove from Ohio and asked permission to play football on the lawn. You won't find a place more humble and charming, but please, remember real people live here, OK?

On your way in or out of town stop over on 2511 West Mason Street to take another history class with a drink at Fuzzy's (Fuzzy Thurston's) bar.

The Stadium Tour is a MUST along with the Hall Of Fame downstairs, ($19 fee if you do both) theres no tours on gamedays, but begin @ 9am on Mon. If I were you I would do the tour 1st then go downstairs as you can spend hours down there in the HOF.

Have the Vikings improved enough to beat the Packers after losing to the Pack just a few weeks ago? No. Packers Offense will roll at home, which leaves the Vikings trying to chase them in the race to over 30 points. Expect the Packers defense to look much better this week than they did last week down in San Diego.

I just don't see a way for the Vikes to stay in the game this Monday night. I'm going to put down a 31-11 final score. Go Pack Go Make It 9-0!!!

I don't understand where all the trash talking was coming from on this side of the border. What did the Queens expect?

They think they have all this talent, but the reality is those players are getting old (Hutchinson, Williams, Winfield) and others are simply overrated (Shancoe, Greenway, Griffin).

Enjoy the cellar Queens - you'll be there a while.

Off to a great start! 8-0 welcome Viqueens, soon to be LA Express! The Packers have to solve there Defensive wows or they could be in jeopardy of loosing a game or two. Why isnt So'to Playing opposite Matthews?? He tore it up on the last Pre season game. They are triple teaming Matthews, we also need Burnett to play his position and not get burned trying to be a playmaker! Go pack Go! 19-0 could happen! GO PACK GO

Presagin' Packer Prognosticators...

Q:  Can the Tampa Bay Buccaneers make a game of it at Lambeau Field this Sunday?
A:  Don't Count On It.

Q:  So the Green Bay Packers are about to go 10-0?
A:  Most Likely.

Magic Gold G-Ball

It's been said that on "Any Given Sunday" an underdog team like the Buccaneers can beat the better team like the Packers, but it won't be this Sunday, it won't be at Lambeau Field, The Pack is not looking ahead, so it's not happening in this game. The Packers have a defense that's starting to find it's groove, the Packers offense hasn't been out of their groove yet this year, the Pack's special teams has contributed more positively this year to the team's wins than previous years... what can I say.

The Packers will have Tampa Bay's number, I would put it down in the 38-13 range... Packers win, go to 10-0 and get ready for the short week that brings Thanksgiving.

Speak Out Spew Off...

Bucc's Try Hard, But Packers Win 35-26

Ever get the feeling that your favorite team is playing down to the competition. Yeah I know, the Packers are the defending Super Bowl Champions (Go Pack GO!) and the last undefeated team in the NFL, but... Yeah I know, a win is a win is a win, and the Pack had lost the last 2 times to the Buccaneers down in Tampa Bay, so you really can't expect things to come as easy as they did last week against the Vikings. Although, deep in your heart that's what a Packers' fan wants every week. 55-10 blow-outs.

I really liked the hand-off to "Fullback" BJ Raji. I had noticed that defenders were shying away from his blocks, so it's smart to hand-off the ball to him. TD!!! All hail the Freezer! How nice of play was it to then go to blocking TE Tom Crabtree for the 2nd TD. WR Jordy Nelson is starting to show why he's become the defacto 2nd WR on this team. Big catches, including the one to help ice the game late after the Pack allowed Tampa back into the game and after a dropped 2 point conversion by the Buccs, held only a 2 point lead. That late in the game it should be a 32 point lead, by my standards anyway.

Packers win a big game on a short week, DB Tramon Williams stepped up with his 2 INT's, and even though QB Aaron Rodgers played a little bit shakey (by his standards) in the game with his worst performance (by his standards) of the year, Packers win and improve their record to a perfect 10-0. Now we fans get an even shorter week before heading into the morning game on Thanksgiving Day in Detroit. GO Pack GO!!!

And The Defense Rests! Well our beloved Pack is now 10-0 and still in a class of their own. Any NFL team is green and gold with envy watching the Packers offense roll. However it certainly seems every team the Packers beat this year had an effective strategy for how to beat the Packers defense. Every team they’ve played this season gave the Packers their best effort with the possible exception of the Monday night Viqueen game, but even in that game there was inspired play from plenty of the Queen’s. Fortunately the Packer offense and special teams have not turned over the ball at a critical time and the offense has been able to out point all 10 teams to date. But to think the 2011 version of the Packer defense will be good enough to win a championship with their demonstrated performance in the first 10 games of the season is unrealistic. No NFL team is without holes this year. But the talk of winning 16 games means nothing if you aren’t playing in the Superbowl and taking the last snap in the victor’s position!

Yeah call it a Monday night hangover, or maybe thinking about playing Detroit on Thursday. Perhaps all of the Bucaqueers played inspired in this game after knowing they had already laid a woopin’ on the Packers in 2009. Whatever it was in this game there is a consistent theme after 10 games that the defense has displayed. Poor tackling, poor gap control, poor coverage techniques, no inside pass rush and blown assignments. Thank fully the defense is getting turnovers but as we’ve seen the turnovers don’t stop the other teams from being in the game right to the end!

Perhaps the Packer defense needs something to get their juices flowing. If the Thursday game against the Lions, with the whole football watching world glued to their TV sets while feasting, doesn’t bring out an inspired Packer defensive performance what will? You can bet the Lions will be fired up and their defense will be all over A-Rod until the final whistle. If the Packer defense takes a Thanksgiving Holiday the question won’t be about a perfect season anymore, might not be all bad. No the talk will be about how many more loses will the Packers have and will they even be playing in late January for the chance at a second Superbowl. C'Mon Man, Nitschke's turnin' over in his grave!

Hey Jonny C, That's a hard one to call, the Henderson Bros donated $20 grand (out of $50 grand needed) towards a scoreboard and then wanted their family name affixed to it, where-as the school isn't interested in naming anything after anyone, so what's lame is that the Henderson Bros want their money back. Presagin' Packer Prognosticators...

Q:  By claiming that the Packers are not good enough to be a 10-0 team, does that mean that the Lions and Ndamukong Suh are not good enough to be a 7-3 team?
A:  As I See It, Yes.

Q:  Will the Green Bay Packers prevail in Detroit this upcoming Thanksgiving Day?
A:  Without A Doubt.

Magic Gold G-Ball

Finally! A Thanksgiving Day game that features a 10-0 team vs another 10-0 team. What? The home-team Lions aren't 10-0... but... but their players are claiming that they are in the same class as the Packers. Yeah, I don't believe it, and by all the faux-boasting from Detroit, they don't believe it either. Packers have the edge in most of the match-ups, the Lions have the edge... ummm, actually they don't have much of an edge anywhere. Wait, well, their coach shows more deranged passion than our coach. If that counts...

None the less, like every single week this year, expect the Packers to play down to the competition, and make the Thanksgiving Day morning game interesting. With the Pack scoring last, just like last week's game, the Packers come out of Detoilet with a 35-20 win. Go Pack Go!!! It's going to be 11-0!

Spew Off Speak Out...

11-0 Packers Return The Favor, Stomp Lions 27-15

The Lions in the 1st half played the Packers pretty well, or maybe that's ugly well, Pack had a 7-0 lead and after an incomplete pass on 3rd down, were getting ready for a FG and potential 10 point lead, when Ndamukong Suh decided it was time for him to head to the locker room and begin his Thanksgiving Day feast earlier than the rest of his team. It changed the game. His foot stomp got him promptly ejected from the game, and the Pack with a 1st down, got their TD and a 14-0 lead. After LB Robert Francois' INT, the TD pass to WR James Jones made it 21-0 and the Packers were never challenged seriously by Detroit after that.

Green Bay get their 11th win, their fans got to..., errh, we fans got to jump around with extreme excitement and got to enjoy the rest of Thanksgiving Day knowing our favorite team was starting to put some comfortable distance on the teams chasing them for the NFC North Division crown and #1 seed for the NFC portion of the playoffs.

Special thanks to New Glarus Brewery's Blacktop IPA for the game-day ambiance and a bit of thanks to Baltimore later that evening. Go Pack Go!!!

Aw, Suh's just old school in the tradition of Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, and our own Ray Nitschke. He'd fit in well on the 70s Raiders or something. Problem is that you can't play like that anymore under Goodellball. He should take a cue from guys like Clay Matthews who manage to be dominating, but still clean and within the rules. This is also the second week in a row we've played a young, immature penalty machine team. The Lions and Bucs are like we were in 09 and the first half of 10 (ie. flags flying every two plays). Luckily, we pulled our shit together in the second half of the season and stopped causing penalties.

Oh, and I guess BK was starting to worry that Frisco would challenge us for the #1 seed. I've never seriously doubted we'd get it since October. We might lose to the Giants or else a trap game against the other teams on the schedule, but two plane crashes and three car wrecks would have to happen for us to not get the top NFC seed.

Rodgers owed everything he has to learning under Brett. Besides that, the Packers never legitimately beat the Favre-led Vikings. One game in 2010 was decided by refball and the other the team laid down to get Brad Childress fired, so neither of those counted. Also the Packers were able to cheat their way to the SB by buying replacements for all their injured players in an uncapped year. Normally a team with that many injuries wouldn't even make the playoffs.

My prediction for this season: One and done in the playoffs. You'll probably lose to the Lions or something.

I agree with that other guy

Who is this clown that says BF taught Rodgers. Favre had too much ego to help Rodgers. I will admit that he learned by watching BF, but BF never offered his help. BF was a great QB but his days are over. It's Rodgers turn and he will bring the Packers to places that BF was not capable of doing. BF did a lot of winning, but he couldn't do it in the big games. Let's admit it. The receivers are better now because they have a better QB making them greater.

Well I'm feeling bad about my last Spew Off so I thought I'd put some positive vibes out before the Lion skinin' begins on T-Day.

Honestly I’m sick and tired of the media making so much noise about the 10-0 Packers and then drudging up trivia about the similarities to 1962 Packer/Lion game. Who cares about 1962? Who's got a way back machine or even remembers who Mr. Peabody was! I still like the Packers to get to the Superbowl and win but I seriously doubt they’ll have an undefeated season.

Here’s my thoughts on Lions game for tomorrow:

This game should bring out the best in the Packers because the Lions beat them in Detoilet last year. The Packers want to demonstrate superiority within their own division and end all the talk about how the Lions are so good and are so talented. They should have talent, they’ve been drafting in the top 5 for how many years?

The offensive line will have a great game because their tired of hearing about a boy named Sue (SUH) and the other Detoilet D-Linemen. Rogers will be moving around but he’ll have enough time to throw. This week Finley has a big game this week.

The Packer pass rush comes to life tomorrow. If Capers has been holding back on unique blitz packages there isn’t a better time to spring them and quiet the Lions’ fans down at Ford (Found On Road Dead) Field. The Packers will continue their interception fest on T-Day. Watch for Woodson to have a big day.

Rogers is going to be on fire tomorrow after having a mediocre game against Tampa Bay. Rogers likes playing in doomed stadiums. Rogers too remembers the last Lions game and wants to redeem himself and end the talk about the Lions defense being the defense that’s built to stop Green Bay.

Ryan Grant totes the rock tomorrow for 100 yards. Starks sits this one out and rests his knee and ankle and Grant gets a chance to carry the ball 20 plus times. The Packers will run block better tomorrow because the Lions see their best shot is to rush Rodgers. Run blocking should be easier in this game and the Packers should surprise the Lions some by running. Yeah I know the Lions want to stop the run first and make it so the Packers are one dimensional and have to pass allowing the Lions to rush the passer, but we’ll see.

Of course these theories all go out the window because just maybe the Lions have more to play for because they already have three loses for the year. I also think the home team has an advantage on a short week of practice. And let’s not forget that Detoilet plays on Thanksgiving every year. So we’ll see tomorrow.

Final Score: Packers 35 - Lions 21
